I am a male nurse. Very often I'm the only male at my working place. And not only that, at 5'4'' I'm also the shortest. My female colleagues, even when they are younger than me, often treat me as if they were my mummies. It really sucks!
Some men would like that. Also as a nurse you don't have to worry about your job going overseas to India, Vietnam or China depending where labor is cheaper.

Oh wait if you work in Germany you don't have to worry about that. The German government actually values keeping local jobs unlike the US government who could care less about jobs going overseas.

Are you able to tell who is from up North and who are from the 4-Southern states. Do they fight on those lines. Or something else. State-ism is quite big here.

One of our colleagues has landed a job in Bangalore, Karnataka (South India). The whole group is teasing him...!
Yes, the clique formations and rivalries tend to be along state boundaries. Apparently this begins in US universities, where they often first encounter each other, and then continues in the work place.

I don't really get it, why would I want to go somewhere where labor is cheaper?

Far more annoying seeing thousands of $100,000+/year American jobs going over seas for Asian who get $25,000!
And when they're not outsourcing jobs, they import Indians with H1B visas.

Is it so unnatural to someone point you out as "black" if you are the only black there and it is your strongest reagent

Also you are looking nice enough.

Well, that's how these corporations work. It's all about cutting costs and making more money. They are as capitalistic and unpatriotic as you can get.

Who cares if" Americans are out of work or losing more jobs" when the company is benefiting is their mindset.

I don't blame the visa workers for the most part but the ethnics and morals of the companies having them come over.

What do you mean look? So, you can pass as some type of indigenous British ethnicity or are there are lot of Turks/West Asians at your office place?

At the hospital I volunteer at I'm not really a minority, there is a good mix of Hispanics and many Fillipinos. In my classes at school often time I am one of two or three Hispanics. It's quite a different experience coming from a high school that was predominately Latino (80%+).

There are ethnic brits who look atlanto-med/paleoatlantid and look very dark and kinda exotic. Could colin farrel or rowan atkinson pass for ethnic turks?

I could easily buy orlando bloom being turkish.

Yeah, I know but I've seen pictures of 5aday and she doesn't strike me as British looking (including "dark" Brits).

Not sure if Farrel or Atkinson could pass as Turks but it's possible I suppose since Turks are suppose to be diverse.

White ladies are very fascinated by good looking Dravidoids. So I love being a single man minority in this awesome company. The only guys I have troubles with are those, who hate Indians getting their type of jobs, but those are a small minority as well - I give a damn.

I'm sure you'll have lots of understanding in another 10-20 years when those Indian jobs are out sourced to Vietnam and you loose YOUR job. You and your family will give a damn when you loose more than half your income you are used to receiving. Corporate greed is in every country.

FYI 98% of straight men prefer curvy women (although varying degrees). The fashion industry is run mainly by women and homosexual men who well have no concept what a man desires physically in a women. Just take a look at Marilyn Monroe, back when men's opinions mattered in the fashion industry. She had curves and was gorgeous. Nowadays by fashion designer standards she would be a full figure model.
This is an example of how much power and influence the media has to misrepresent/distort reality.

I think there is a common misconception about why those jobs are transfered to Indian companies. The reason is not just lower payment. We have so many educated manpower there, so cos haven't to worry about shortcomings. I work in a Europid company, but there is a growing tendency of Indian companies buying our product and that clearly shows you can still make money, when you are truely innovative. The problem is you or any other country have not the manpower to stop India. We are getting the jobs, because we are educated. The purchasing power compared to Europe is also atleast tripple as high. In absolute sense it means they pay us more money than you would get.
