why do Africans and Indo-Subcontinenals with British passports pretend to be English?

Why do Africans,Carribeans and Indians/pakisttanis in England prentend to be English, can you imagine a Nigerian pretending t be japanese if he married a japannese women and got a passport?

Can you imagine Palestinean in syria saying he's syrian? or a Tibetan in india saying he's Indian? no so why are they so deluded?

Not sure how it's possible to be 'A' English, possibly an Englishman or simply English, but that man is clearly neither and he rather defeats the point by not being able to speak English properly.

I guess you are not concerned about people of other European heritages claiming Englishness if they were born and brought up here then? It only matters when they can't be classified as white, eh?

Actually I have plenty of English ancestry, an English surname, and DNA-verified English paternal line back to a Tory, but I don't claim English nationality nor do I want England claiming me. We conquered this land fair and square, so I'm American.
