32. Tennessee Titans (0-4): Crushed by the Cowboys. The Titans didn't stand a chance in this one.
31. Detroit Lions (0-4): No comment. 30. Oakland Raiders (0-3): Can't even beat the Browns. That's pretty pathetic. But at least Randy Moss caught a touchdown for all you fantasy football owners out there. 29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3): Yeah, they're pretty bad. 28. San Francisco 49ers (1-3): 41 point losses are hard to come by. Keep up the good work guys. 27. Cleveland Browns (1-3): At least they won this one. They're still the Browns though and because of that they will suck. It's just part of life. 26. Green Bay Packers (1-3): Playing without Ahman Green against a pretty good Eagles team, the Packers probably weren't expected to do much this weekend. Well. At least they lived up to their expectations. 25. Houston Texans (1-3): David Carr to Andre Johnson is a dangerous combination. Unfortunately you need more than a QB and WR to have success in this league. 24. Miami Dolphins (1-3): Losing to any team usually sucks. It especially sucks when it's to the Texans. The Dolphins are better than this, though. 23. Arizona Cardinals (1-3): Edgerrin James was expected to do more than gain 41 rushing yards on 20 carries. There's no reason for this offense to be doing as poorly as it has been. 22. Kansas City Chiefs (1-2): Beating up on the lowly 49ers has to make the Chiefs feel good. But seriously, it's a start. 21. Buffalo Bills (2-2): I still say they suck, but I've been wrong about things before. 20. Washington Redskins (2-2): I'm not sure how they beat the Jaguars, but they did it. Winning games you're not supposed to is important to having a good season so hats off to the Redskins this week. 19. Carolina Panthers (2-2): Big win for them. 18. New York Jets (2-2): They played the Colts harder than most expected. That's a plus. But they still lost. Sigh. 17. Dallas Cowboys (2-1): Mad props to the Cowboys for humiliating the Titans this week. Next week they face a challenge of titanic proportions. 16. Minnesota Vikings (2-2): A loss to the Bills? Sad. Just sad. 15. New Orleans Saints (3-1): Now that their hot streak is over, I expect them to cool off real fast. 14. St. Louis Rams (3-1): If not for a fluke loss to the 49ers, they'd be 4-0 right now and on top of the NFC West. Still, that loss resonates in my mind, raising a major question mark on just how good this team is. 13. New York Giants (1-2): They'll stay at lucky # 13 right now. Clearly the best 1-win team in the NFC right now. 12. San Diego Chargers (2-1): Tough loss to the Ravens. Don't bet against LT, though. 11. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2): I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed with this team. They look strong the first two weeks, lose to the Colts, and then get beat by the clearly inferior Redskins. 10. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2): They didn't play but a lot of shit happened in the top 10 which makes it impossible to keep them at #7. 9. New England Patriots (3-1): Completely embarrassed the Cincinnati Bengals on their own turf and sent Carson Palmer home to cuddle alone with his Heisman trophy. A sad state of affairs. 8. Atlanta Falcons (3-1): Vick is on pace for over 1000 yards this year. If he keeps up, he'll be injured by week 8. 7. Cincinnati Bengals (3-1): With the off-the-field distractions and the total lack of focus against the Patriots, I've got to wonder if this team has what it takes. 6. Denver Broncos (2-1): It hasn't been pretty, but the Broncos have found ways to win. They're going to continue to find ways to win because they're the Broncos. 5. Seattle Seahawks (3-1): Crushed by the Bears. Wowzer. But they were missing Alexander so things could be different if the two teams play again. But something tells me Alexander wouldn't have made 31 points worth of difference even if he had played. 4. Indianapolis Colts (4-0): So the Colts are a pretty good team. Maybe their potent offense will be able to make up for their piss-poor defense. But will that cut if come playoff time? 3. Philadelphia Eagles (3-1): Next week the Eagles will face the biggest challenge they've had for nearly a year. For an entire week, they will have to answer seemingly limitless questions regarding former teammate Terrell Owens. That alone is reason to kill yourself. 2. Baltimore Ravens (4-0): Two comebacks to put them at 4-0. Steven "Air" McNair has made this team multi-dimensional. That's scary. 1. Chicago Bears (4-0): 116-29. That's the PF-PA for the Bears this year. And they've even played two pretty good teams. Like the Ravens, the Bears have found a way to improve their offense while keeping their stellar defense. Again. Scary. |

They're 4 points away from being 3-0 and have beaten the Falcons which makes them look pretty good right now. I predict they'll be back where they belong withing the next few weeks. Payton doesn't have a chance against his Daddy Bill. |
