Default Portis' mom reportedly punches out fan
Portis' mom reportedly punches out fan

Redskins running back Clinton Portis took a beating in a victory over the Eagles on Sunday. But his mother apparently dished one out, according to a report in The Washington Post.

The Post says that in the fourth quarter of the game in Philadelphia, Portis' mom, Rhonnel Hearn, was sitting in the end zone at Lincoln Financial Field with Portis' stepfather and some friends when an Eagles fan tossed a beer on the group.

Hearn responded by punching the woman in the face.
And that's why Hearn watched part of the game on the Redskins' sideline.
"She busted some lady in the nose, but that'll just teach you about messing with her," Portis said.
"I think fans take that too serious. People come to the game to have a good time, that's what you should do. If you decide your team is losing and you want to cause trouble, then you're going to get what you're looking for. And (Sunday), whoever that fan was, they got what they were looking for."
In the game, Portis rushed for 112 hard-earned yards to help the Redskins advance to the playoffs, but he reinjured an already sore shoulder and wrist after he was horse-collared in the fourth quarter by Eagles linebacker Trent Cole.
But he remains proud of his mother. "My mom can protect herself," Portis said.

Why is the tossed beer from an Eagle's fan no surprise what-so-ever?

This really doesn't surprise me

I have never seen so many people drunk at a sporting event in my entire life than I saw on Sunday at the Linc, and I've been to my fair share of Philly events.

Actually Portis's mom was acting up, pushing her weight around. But hell, Philly fans booed Santa.

They were pretty sober in my area. There have been more drunk people at every college football game I've ever been to.

Good pun

guilty of cheering for an opposing team in the Linc. An unforgiveable sin for sure in all of PA

I want an investigation as to why her ass didn't get tossed from the stadium. She admittedly punched someone.

Send her out!

I retract my previous statement

Any PROFESSIONAL sporting event. South Carolina and Penn State games are drunk capitals of the US.

She's just lucky it wasn't the Vet, then we would have sicked the rats and snakes on her.

I'm pissed that we sucked this year. There were too many bad calls and Redskins fans that went unpunished on Sunday. Everytime I went to boo or punch someone in their Adam's Apple, I reminded myself of who our quarterback is...then weeped.

I think Wisconsin, Michigan and ND might have a differing opinion on that matter.

Haven't been to any of those games

I might be going to ND vs. Penn State next year if my friend gets accepted at ND.

It's WAY too hard to train rats to piss on people.

Trust me on this.
