I'm not sure if anyone else has ever taken notice to Hushmail's site where they had posted 512 bit encryption a year or so ago, and then the "NEW 2048bit" encryption. I looked all over bothe cyber-rights and hushmail's site and don't see either of these anymore. I know this was there as I had printed out the page to show a friend who eventually signed up for a pay account because of the high encryption strength. Now they don't have anything about the encryption strength. The only thing I found in their site is this:

"What is AES, and how is it involved in the Hushmail solution?
Hush uses industry standard algorithms as specified by the Open PGP standard (RFC2240) to ensure the security, privacy and authenticity of your email. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a type of 128-bit symmetric block cipher. When combined mathematically with a Hush passphrase, the AES algorithm encrypts the private keys of Hush users. This occurs before the key is stored on Hushmail's very secure key server. The only thing that can decrypt the private key is a Hush passphrase combined with the AES algorithm."

Am I nuts, or does anyone else remember their previous encryption claims?

Also, I remember people asking about the true security of hush, and whether they co-operate with LE. People stated that the company was out of Ireland. Now I see that it is owned by our buddies in Canada. I'm sure Canada won't cooperate with our LE, lol..

Let me hear what you people remember or think of this. It seems a little strange to me.

I would stick with cyber-rights.net or securenym.net

It seems that hushmail is going the way of ziplip.....first they act is if they are "secure" email, the next thing you know they change their policies after shitting their pants over enforcement of the Patriot Act.

That is why ziplip will no longer take new accounts....

The Patriot Act has really exposed whether a supposedly secure, encrpyted email service will REALLY stand behind the privacy of their customers.

Is relatively safe for everything but a source business account.

I don't think you will ever draw attention if you use hush for file record keeping and for secure communications between hush members.

You get what you pay for:

I personally would recommend securenym as I have said before for a source business account.

1. They don't log traffic so they will not put themselves in a position to know who you are. They allow you to set up an account anonymously.
2. The ownership does not care about suppliment sales so they will not ever waste time on your account.
3. Lots of storage.

Do they identify child pornagraphers and terrorists and terminate the accounts of such? I think they absolutely have to for moral reasons as well as the fact that those people will bring heat. But they will never care about supplements. Can they see what is unencrypted in your account? I am sure they can? Can they identify you, not if they aren't logging the IP information.

This is where you have to choose. Somewhere about 2001 I realized that I would never again give my mailbox addy ( fake or not ) to anyone. I don't care how close we are, nobody got my physical address except my man IP. The fact is that friends roll, the fact is girlfriends get pissed and the house comes down, the fact is >>>>>>>>>>

I also looked at my business and I said:

1. I would never become involved locally
2. I would never ship anything unless it was anonymously shipped. I stopped all express and strickly went priority with delivery conf under 1lb and shipped from any mailbox in the US.
3. I would never give anyone a cell phone for me that if I needed a message phone I would use anonymous phone like laservoicemail.
4. I would never keep anything on a hard drive ( encrypted or not ). It is safer to keep unencrypted data in Hush and Cyber accounts then encrypted on a hardrive. Because you will forget that one file you opened and left in an unencrypted state and they just need one!! Just one!!
5. That I would stick with what I knew in my heart was for me the best cleansing software on the market; Evidence Eliminator and I would try to be faithful to do complete clean everynight at bedtime.
6. That becuase I knew from my interaction with Securenym owners that they didn't care at all about supplements sales and they came out and said that. They knew about my activities and they wanted me to know they didn't care. Where hush and cyber may allude to privacy and I am sure their business depends on them really upholding the principles I never felt secure in paying Hush for upgraded accounts to operate the business out of. I have always had Hushmail accounts for file keeping and secure communication with other hush members. I haven't ever heard of anyones email accounts being a reason of an arrest for steroid sales. They are not going to waste their resources on a supena for anabolic sales. For terrorism, for child pornagraphy, for drug cartels, and very large money launderers they will and all of these services will look for this kind of activity and terminate accounts in an attempt to not draw that kind of attention because thats bigtime. Nobodie's coming after a hush & cyber account for steroid sales!!
7. That I would never access a board without using a VPN and for about 5 years I have not. That's what makes Anointedsfindnot.com so valuable. Not only do you get to see how the 30 servers are functioning at any given time allowing you to pick the faster servers, but it costs $7 a month. I paid $1 a day for years and never had server optoions like he has.

Now I say all that because I want you to see how anal I was in regards to even a potential program vulnerability. Now there's a good bro who's trully Insane and he has sold Mex for years and never had half the concerns about safety I have had. He has not only survived but he will openly discuss it with me on the board.

Now many of you guys want this to be a locked thing that requires a password. I say phuck that " lock your own programs " so you are never vulnerable and you can come on and freely share. This is probably most tangibly beneficial forum on any BB'd board. And thank God Big A shared the vision of getting information disseminated as far and as wide as we can through the community so even personal users know where they are vulnerable.

He was a local friend and what did I say about local involvement. Sterod busts are really quite rare because they are not a priority of prosecuters, cops, or even customs agents. Now Meth, Coke, Weed, are. They know how to prosecute these things and there is an epidemic of use going on. But unbranded chinese product in wine bottle and plastic bags, who wants to deal with that? They used to be as apt to just toss it in the trash than deal with it. Thats not so true today but it is still a pain to quantify unbranded, underground gear.

I am babbling now, but Fats I eliminated virtually every concievable vulnerability and guess what? I was still a drug dealer picking up packs and then repackaging and reshipping to customers! There was always going to be a tremendous amount of anxiety in the business for me. So unless you either have the strongest spiritual relationship with God or Valium you eliminate everything vulnerability you can concievably eliminate and then own the rest ( with God )
