As you all have probably seen on the front page of newspapers and on the tv news, it has been found that the NSA, at the behest of the Bush Administration, has been compiling the world's largest database of information by tracking ALL phone calls made anywhere in the USA, by any person, since right after 9/11.
No longer can Bush lie and say that the NSA domestic spying program only targets "suspected terrorists". Now, every man, woman and CHILD who picks up the phone is being tracked.
And once again, Bush did this without any oversight/consultation with the Judiciary, or with the rank and file membership of Congress (just a few cronies who are in charge of the Telecommunications Committee).
After all the lies and all the leaks that have exposed secret foreign prisons, bogus excuses for going to war with Iraq, domestic spying on everyday Americans and the outright dismantling of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc.----WE HAVE ONLY ONE CHOICE: WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERY DAMN PERSON CONNECTED TO PRES. BUSH AND HIS ADMINISTRATION: CHENEY, POWELL, RICE, RUMSFELD, ALBERTO GONZALEZ, WOLFOWITZ and HIS BROTHER JEB NEVER HAVE A DAMN CHANCE OF EVER BEING ELECTED PRESIDENT, LET ALONE ESTABLISHING A PRESIDENTIAL CABINET COMPRISED OF QUASI-NAZIS LIKE THEM.
THEY HAVE USED THEIR POWER TO ABUSE THE MEMORY OF THE DEAD 9/11 VICTIMS TO ADVANCE THEIR POLITICAL AGENDA OF TURNING OUR DEMOCRACY INTO A FASCIST STATE.:mad:
Although I never discuss any of my "business" on my landline phone--or even my registered cell phone--I will be ridding myself of my Verizon telephone service. Remember, Verizon, AT&T and other giant phone companies are selling all of our phone records information to the Feds. And that's right: SELL!!!!
SOLUTION: Switch to an internet phone provider like TimeWarner or Comcast, which encrpytes the phone information, unlike a landline telephone.
BUT THIS IS HOW/WHY THE PHONE COMPANIES ARE SELLING OUR PHONE RECORDS TO THE FEDS: the Federal Government has BILLIONS of dollars in contracts with these major telephone companies, and after 9/11, they THREATENED to end all of those government contracts unless they gave them (SECRETLY) all of their customers' phone records. No customers', nor the companies shareholders, were ever consulted.
And what about the Telecommunications Act, which states that phone companies are REQUIRED to divuldge to their customers any time their information has been given away?
Well, I guess that law doesn't matter to the phone companies, just like it doesn't matter to Bush.
And all the phone companies care about is making all the money they can. They couldn't give a fuck if their customers' private information is given out just so they can keep making more money in government contracts.
And with Bush a "lame duck" president, he will increasingly violate the law--and our Constitutional Rights--since he doesn't have to face the wrath of the American voters....
But his fellow conservatives will............
