What's everyone's opinion here on a female for President??

I personally wouldn't really care, so long as the job got done properly, more power to them. But in reality, the fact that power in the US has been, and remains in the hands of elderly white men with "agendas"...they would never allow such a thing to happen. I also highly doubt that our Nation will ever have a minority for a president either.

There are conflicts and people dying all over the globe, some righteous, some probably out of a lie... you're way wrong here.

What you propose that war should be decided by democracy is the most dangerous thing you've come up with yet, the USA would fall.

Remember the Constitution? Remember the Founders? Remember what they went through? How about our Independence? Only 1/3 were for war with the King. What if we took a vote back then? Do you have ANY idea what you are thinking? Do you have any idea that war would be decided by the media in that scenario?

In any Country (including ours), the greatest threat to Freedom is one's own military. Our Country has extreme security, checks, balances, rechecks to keep the military in line. All ammo of all kinds inc. WMD's are set up so that few are able to aquire and only enough ammo in certain areas so that a sustained conflict with our military won't last. For our own military to get enough resources for sustained conflict with loyal forces in the military would require almost impossible feats.

Why does our Gov't do this? For our own protection. No Country on the planet is immune to military take over. What you propose, if at any time the military sees a threat that could destroy our Country but the Populace refuses to take action, I shit you not, the warriors will decide that the Country is not safe in the hands of the Democracy.

When we took our Oath... we raised our right hand and vowed to protect our Country from all threats "foreign and DOMESTIC"...that's YOU if this Country became a Democracy.

Try to remember... none of us are privy to what comes across the President's desk. You don't have enough information to make those kinds of decisions. Even if that info was given to all Americans, the Country would still be split, and the media would tip the balance in favor of no military action. This I can count on.

Also try to realize that there is a reason we don't know what comes across the President's desk because if we all knew it...our enemies would know what we know, our temporary allies would know what we are not supposed to know but we do. There is a reason why intel has security levels, it gives us the advantage.

The patriot act "personally" effected me about 1 year after it went into effect. My wife’s uncle is a "higher up" FBI agent in another state.... and he drove 500 miles just to tell me "they" had my land line and cell phone tapped. They where investigating me for ... well most know why but they used the excuse that i was considered a "domestic terrorist" because the money from my business was being filtered to another country which "technically" could be used to "sponsor" terrorism. He told me all this is in my "file" and actually showed me the stuff they had been investigating. It showed that a undercover had been sent to my local gym 3 times while wired to try to make a buy from me. I never sold. I never do hand to hand.
So then the FBI along with the DEA decided to run a "postal check" to see if i had any po boxes in my name... again, not happening.
Then it showed the exact numbers that where being monitored. All phone numbers.
Now.. this is not info i care to share but at this point, i dont care. Fuckem.
BRO... this is all true. I know - i seen it with my own eyes.
So...yes my friend the patriot act has effected me and i am sure it has effected allot more people then actually realize it because the rules for being a domestic "terrorist" can even apply to someone who is in a bar room brawl.

As for the patriot act effecting you... psssssssst... it wasn't the Patriot Act that was effecting you... all they really need is Reasonable Suspicion and get a judge. The Italian side of my family's phone was tapped and everything monitored for over 20 years by the FBI...and this was over 20 years ago when it ended.... let's see...where was the patriot act then? Didn't exist.


Pssssssssst.... there is no evidence anywhere that the Patriot Act has EVER been used improperly or took a person's >>>>rights<<<< away that wasn't breaking the law.

In fact... there are organizations and media that are asking people that were UNFAIRLY effected by the Patriot Act to contact them.
