Yeah.. that big bad tyrant that Bush said "EVERYONE" in Iraq was so scared of doesnt seem to be so feared after all.... Hmmmm... this BAGHDAD news article proves it.
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20051205/D8EACRI00.html
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Watching the Saddam Hussein trial at home on television, Jinan Mushrif said she got chills of pride Monday when she saw the ousted leader and a co-defendant chant, "Long live Iraq, long live the Arab state."
"These are the real men of Iraq, not those who hide behind their bodyguards," the 49-year-old Baghdad housewife said with a laugh.
QUOTE: "Maybe Saddam did oppress those who opposed him," Omar said. "But for every Iraqi, deep inside, he looks like the strongman we need."
I bet BBJ or Rugbythug answers to this thread but not the one that PROVES Bush is a straight up liar... Ha ha ha.

What the fuck is your deal with "proving" everything? Shit man, i am just relaying the news... i dont make the news, i just post it. I cant help it doesnt go your way.... ever.

She's a stupid bitch. Saddam had been hiding behind bodyguards from assassins all his career just like the new leadership...just like our President, just like the Prime of England...just like the leader of any country.
Saddam didn't give a shit about Iraq. Opposing the USA got thousands upon thousand of his people killed. If he cared..he should have just stop shooting at our planes and let the inspectors in as long as they wanted to be there and go anywhere they wanted.

Didn't the lead weapon's inspector to Iraq through the '90s wrote a book (his name escapes me right now) where he said how the Iraqi's never oposed the inspections, all the so called 'opposition' was US fabricated to further US propaganda? When he tried to blow the lid on this, he was reprimanded, that's why he 'retired' and then wrote the book?
I know the book was banned in most countries thereafter. I was lucky to buy a copy before it was pulled off the shelves here.

Exactly! Saddam NEVER opposed weapons inspectors.... they rumbled all through his shit until he got tired of it.
SS... if some smart ass Mr Big shot cop pulls you for no reason and demands you to consent to a search... but, you have nothing to hide... your completely legal.... are you going to consent or tell him to fuck off and get a warrant?
I know i wouldnt... hell i have sit for 2 hours waiting on a warrant to search my car... just because i had NOTHING to hide but i didnt want some bully ass bitch cop invading my privacy! Same with Saddam vs the BULLY ass Bush admin.
Saddam did the same think!
Now... a little fact for ya just so you dont go trying to throw this up... HE NEVER FUCKING HAD WMD! George got his WAR... George claimed the war was over hidding WMD....
FACT MY FRIEND: HE NEVER HAD THEM AND THEY NEVER FOUND THEM.
FACT: George was FULL OF SHIT.
FACT: George LIED to get his war using the "FAKE" uranium sale from Africa to Iraq.
So.... Big A is exactly right... i remember that book (read news articles on it but never actually read it)- But let me tell you something bro... because YOU mentioned it, no one will discredit it as a "conspiracy" book... or some fruitloop wrote it.... but OHHHH let me mention it and they would break it down as some bullshit conspiracy idiot made it up.

Well, he can't be a fruitloop as the UN and US trusted him to lead the inspections in Iraq for a number of years. So nobody can actually argue that the guy was full of shit, a conspiracy theorist, etc, as the info in the book is as first hand as it can be - written by the person in charge of all the weapon's inspectors in Iraq for a number of years in the 90's.

Here you go:
Iraq Confidential : The Untold Story of the Intelligence Conspiracy to Undermine the UN and Overthrow Saddam Hussein by Scott Riter
And check this one too:
Disarming Iraq by Hans Blix
This second one was written by the chief weapons inspector posted in Iraq between 2000 and 2003 and he also says that there was no evidence of WMD and the war was staged!
I think that it's pretty hard to argue with both of these books, written by without argue the two people that knew the situation better than anyone else on this planet.

How do you know the lead inspector was ethical? If you think it's easy to believe President Bush is unethical...why can't the lead inspector? Fact is... Saddam did stop inspections and the inspectors noted that as they were approaching some of Saddam's facilities, trucks were high tailing it out of there. I would assume that Saddam's people were gathering damning evidence and making a run for it. This I do believe.

That is very true. But it begs the question, what benefit would the inspectors have to lie? It is obvious Bush's financial benefit so his lies can be 'justified'. I cannot see any justification for the weapon's inspectors to lie.

Actually our Gov't already said we have Sat. photos of their trucks headed out of the country into Libia. Yes... Saddam moved his weapons out of country.... this I believe also. The inspectors also never had unrestricted surprise inspections either...all facilities were contacted by the Iraqi Gov't when the inspectors picked a site to see. Yeah...that's the ticket!

Oh I can... I watched that inspector talk during an interview... he had an ego bigger than a bodybuilder... he had no loyalty to the allies.. and it seemed to me he was nothing but a pissed off employee.... his credentials do not make him ethical...sorry... I won't buy this one either.

Why not release some photos of these trucks with WMD on them? Ohh... i get it, (the same lame excuse) ... they cant release them due to "risking national security" ... Bwa ha ha ha... yeah Ok

not libya syria.
Speculation on WMDs in Syria was fueled by the fact that satellite images picked up long lines of trucks waiting to cross the border into Syria before the coalition launched the invasion. Mr. Duelfer previously had reported that Syria was a major conduit for materials entering Iraq that were banned by the United Nations.

That to me shows proof that there was nothing important in those trucks. If indeed the trucks were quickly smuggling important cargo, they would not be stuck waiting in qeues at borders! They would have been rushed through expediately through both Iraqi customs and Syrian customs.

Sure... there probably was long lines of every kind of vehicle leaving the country.... i dont blame them, i would rather leave and live also.

It is common sense that Iraq wouldn't let these trucks wait stuck in traffic on their side and also Syria would have obviously known what was in those trucks in advance, so they would have rushed them through as well, as basically the 'deal' would have been made between Saddam and the Syrian dictator, so right at the top, so the pawns manning the borders would have worked expeditiously to 'smuggle' the trucks through.
That is common sense if the trucks were containg WMD.
But then again, it could also have been a beaurocratic bungle at the border too that made the trucks stuck there. Unlikely though.

Yes... that is common sense... so common sense would tell you... THEY KNEW the WMD where coming into there country.... and they would do anything to get them over without THE UNITED STATES FINDING OUT... why?
Because George declared a war on ANYONE - ANY COUNTRY that helped terrorist.

Honestly IMO I doubt there was that much control in country in the war leadup. It would probably look like Wal-Mart the day after Thanksgiving. This is just my opinion but Saddam Never let anyone verify that he destroyed the weapons. Thus enduring all sorts of embargos and other things that hurt his country and him.
