Iran's hard-line president, who once called for Israel to be "wiped off the map," again sparked a barrage of international criticism, saying the Jewish state should be moved to Europe and questioning whether the Holocaust took place.

Well... i guess we should have spent our 1 TRILLION dollars in bombing Iran instead of a pussy ass country that was never a threat anyway hu?
If Iran is such a KNOWN threat... then why the fuck did we invade Iraq instead of Iran?
I have your answer : Iran can FIGHT BACK! Iran aint a little pussy ass rock throwing country like Iraq. It was EASY to take Iraqs OIL.... but, it would be HELL trying to pull that shit in Iran!

If we had not already overthrew Iraq we would not have known what there weapons capability is or was. You act like you knew but you didn't no one did. For every person who was suspicious there were 2 who thought he was capable. And everyone knows he was willing.

I am saying this:
Our government KNEW both countrys have oil. They needed to invade the WEAKEST country... and they needed a reason (Saddam and the WMD LIE).
So... instead of invading the REAL threat (Iran) they spent all out money invading the EASY target... Iraq.
That is what i am saying.

Well you may have a point. If you believe to countries near each other have intent and capabilites to harm your country do you destroy the one that is easier or harder?
However something will happen with Iran too. Probably not for 10-25 years but something has to change.
Unless a democratic neighbor like Iraq starts having a lot of commerce and generating jobs that shows the populace a different way. Then change would be required from the people and not from outside influences.

Damn, you mean we kinda agree? Personally, i dont think Iran is a threat... or, lets put it this way... if they do something that warrants us attacking them... then so be it. Thats justified. Unlike Iraq.
I honestly do not think i would bitch so much if it was Iran we invaded because we would actually have a reason.... but "liberating" Iraq was not a fucking priority when you have a jacked up country like Iran breathing down our neck.

Wrong...Iran is just as pussy as Iraq is.. our military could take them just as fast as we took Iraq in the first assault. None of these countries are as tough as an Oriental country. N. Korea supported by China..now that would be a never ending battle.

Although I generally agree with your premise Iran does have one other thing...a very young population (75% - 30 or younger) that has a thrist for freedom. They are fed up with 25 years of religious propaganda by the government which the US thinks it can exploit.

The war with Iraq was like quick either. Shock and awe..we could do the same with most any country on the planet including Iran. Now..the war on terrorism..that's totally different and be sure to seperate the two my friend. It's two completely different conflicts. Don't mistake all out war with guerilla action in the city with some people wishing to meet their false god.
SS
These type of conflicts are as old as conflict itself. Taking a country when you're the most powerful is easy... controlling it is another... see Roman and British history for examples.
