I've been really working on mimicking professional lighting equipment with photoshop, to really bring out the subject of the photo.
I've also been trying to do photoshop plastic surgery . I drew in some abs in the first pic, and I morphed the face around a tad.

You could try and avoid over-exposing in the 1st place?

The 1st attempt doesn't work for me, but the last one, Wendy, works pretty well.

I'm not a fan of adding things to models, I think it's pretty horrible actually, and adds to the twisted view we have of what we think people 'should' look like. I'm sure you weren't looking for that comment though, so apologies in advance.

I looked through them pretty closely, and I couldn't really tell what was 'added' to them; what am I missing? As I see them, they're really just basic color/exposure corrections in which the cluttered, distracting backgrounds have been replaced. I rather like the second one, but the third just doesn't do anything for me. The blown highlights really have a negative effect in my opinion. I think you have the procedure down though; your work is pretty good (well, when you don't take too many artistic liberties ).

Personally I think that the transformations look really slick. So does the tonality change of the picture. Could you briefly describe how you made these changes? [thumbup]
