Yes, I know I work for a webhosting company, but there's no one in the office to ask.
I've got my own website (check it out, there;s not much there www.flamingeck.com) . I've played arround for hours, different options, styles etc... Basically enoughs enough, I want something up and working. I've got a **** load of photos to show. I don't want anything to do with frames, they're wrong on so many levels. I've got my own server box, so can pretty much install anything I wish. I'm not really after a full website solution, maybe just a simple flash script. Also, how easy is it to add video to a website, I'd really like NOT use anything microsoft based. Anyone got any ideas? The main point, is I'd like a solution, that could be embedded into any website design I choose. I think thumbnails, with a nice big photo (atleast 1024x768) size would be idea. I did see one script recently IIRC it was java, where the screen would darken but reveal the main photo inlarged. Input, show off what you've got. I need some ideas! Edit - Thanks to whoever deleted my double entry. It;s the most action I've seen all week. |

For video, the best thing to do is first make the video in any format you want, and then use SUPER to convert it to a more web friendly format.. either flash video or flash or quicktime...
SUPER rules!!! I work for the University of Minnesota Dept of Human Rights, and we have a bunch of video posted up on the web, I used SUPER to convert a lot of it from DVD to mov, great with quality, easy to use, and you can change the size, scale, framrate, bitrate whatever... http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html |
