Default Getting a Camera soon!!! Finally!!!
I am going to be getting a camera after my next pay check. Is it worth an extra $100+ to get the Canon S3 IS instead of the Canon S2 IS?

If it is, I might have to wait another week before I can get it.

There are some small benefits, the slightly higher resolution the addition of ISO 800 and less aggresive noise reduction. In my experience though and this may just be me, if you have the opportunity to go for the next model do or else you end up forever wondering should I have gone for the other model.

I agree go for it if you have the cash. But the S2 is a lovely camera, I have reccomended it to many people looking for a decent pro-consumer camera.
