Web design

Hiya guys

I've been playing around with some web design for a few months now.

Pretty much got the HTML basics sorted using Dreamweaver 8

At the moment i've ben doing the odd picture in Photoshop then adding that to Dreamweaver.

Then doing some things in flash 8 and adding that in.

I've seen some tutorials on the web where you design most of it in photoshop. Am i right in thinking you copy that in as a background image then add frames on top for the text??

I would like to design a flash site or a site that has flash elements to it. Could i do my images in photoshop then use flash to animate them or do they have to be created in flash??

Hope you can help

Greg

First, I'm no expert in webdesign and certainly not flash and dreamweaver and photoshop.

But as far as I know, you first have to create your images in whatever program you like. Then you add your pictures and play around with the layers and stuff in flash.

Then you add your flash creation to your website and voila...

pretty simple to explain, but a bitch to create. I've tried some attempts to create flash, but it turned out into a moving gif... :s

But you first have to create your images and then play with them in flash.

You can create images in any program and import them into flash (ctrl+r), and you can also create scalable vector images in flash itself. But remember you need to turn images into symbols before you can do lots of things (certain types of animation etc.).
