Right - so I'm off to France this weekend to shoot some photographs for my company. My company is sponsoring the annual sailing cup of the client that I am responsible for managing, which means I get a jolly down there for two days to chat with the client employees, and take photos for my company. Apparently they want me on one of the boats taking shots during the racing.
Now my 30D will definately be staying on dry-land, but I think I'm prepared to risk my 300D on the boat. bear in mind that I don't have the time (or the money) to get a professional camera cover etc, so I think I will have to go with a ghetto approach. What can people suggest as a reasonable way to protect my camera against spray etc? The conditions will not be extreme by any means, but there will be a bit of spray about. I was thinking plastic bag taped to the front of the lens, then draped back over the camera - will that work for a few hours you reckon? I do get seasick as hell, so I reckon it could be an interesing weekend ![]() |
