Intriging round coming up on Saturday. Hard to believe there is actually some interest in the Swans v Peel game down at Basso. Swans will be weary of Peel given they got out of jail against them last time, and that was when Peel were in first gear still... This is a Grand Final (so to speak) for Swans and a victory puts them squarely in the finals mix. East Perth and Perth also has plenty on it. The Royals not only need a miracle to make the four (not a reality) but they need players. Perth have the slight advantage of being a game ahead of the Royals and therefore a game closer to fouth spot. A Demons win here and they get a momentum swing and close the gap on the Sharks.... And the South Fremantle v West Perth game is the big one. Mainly because Souths are keeping the door ajar for the other clubs if they start top drop games. Subi are now on the march and they will be waiting for both the Fremantle clubs to stumble while they themselves keep the pressure on by winning. West Perth have been very good and they know every win from here on gets them closer to a 2nd Semi Final at Joondalup against the Tigers.
Every game is vital as the season slowly tightens up between 3rd and 7th. The last few WAFL season have all come down to the wire for that last finals spot. In 2009 West Perth had to battle Subiaco up until the dying minutes to snatch 4th from East Perth, and then in 2010 East Perth had to roll the almost unbeatable Tigers in the last game, which they did in the last quarter to knock West Perth out.... This year is looking similar and with the final round games seeing South Fremantle playing East Fremantle and Perth playing Swans, it is starting to look very interesting. Peel and Subi in the last game may also have huge rammifications on the day for Subi. No easy games down at Rushton these days. * I think Subi are a real shot now. Every game for them is winnable if they keep form and limit injuries. * EF have the list, they need to find form fast. A tougher run home for them. * SF also a tough run home, including WP twice. They must start winning the close games. * SD could possibly afford to drop maybe 1 game (CL) and could still win the rest. * P need to now pull and iron out of the fire. Mathmatical chance is better than nothing. * WP & CL will be 1 & 2... Would be a great Grand Final. Long way to go though. * EP & PT... mmmmmm ? ![]() |

should be a cracking finish to the season gasman..........I reckon the bye may hamper Subi's momentum though.......lots of differing scenario's on here.....from an EF perspective, complete fustration with EF dropping games to Subi and Peel, though I am more than confident Malaxos and the boys will find a way and secure a finals possie for 2011. Claremont and WP are more than beatable, it could be anybodys flag to win and lose, the most important thing is securing your chance first. No games are gimmes now, every side have shown they can win, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Peel start edging their way up too.....and EP too......from an EF perspective this weekend Peel, EP and WP can win.......

The problem for us this week is we will be without Zucconi (2nd week of his suspension), De Jongh (1 week susp) and f-ck knows because our club won't keep us informed but we could still be without K-T and Army. Though some people don't rate De Jongh his loss doesn't allow us the luxury of maybe moving a McDougall or Busher down back to try and counter Josh Smith. I would rate us a big chance with our best side in but I'm afraid i don't go in with much confidence with those out's.
