One thing; Orlando tried to turn Lebron into a jump shooter and keep him from driving to the post . . . they can't do that w/ Kobe.

They did it pretty well last night. Almost all perimeter shooting by both teams. LA avoided the paint like a plague.......and it cost them the game.

After watching the end of games 2 and 3, I think that Kobe is afraid to give the ball up at the end of the game. It seems like he doesnt trust his teammates. In game 2, he had 3 guys wide open, but he tried to take a shot in traffic. In game 3, he tries to split the double team on a pick n roll rather than find a teammate for an open shot. I think that this aspect of the game is one where LeBron is currently better than Kobe. LeBron trusts his teammates with the last shot of the game. He gave Delonte West the last shot against Orlando in game 1.

That's not to say that it doesn't work from time to time, but 62.5% shooting helps . . . alot.

i don't know how confident you can be about your chances when you shoot 62.5% and the other team still has a chance at the end of the game to tie or win the game.

I agree with this, although I think LeBron gives the ball up too much sometimes in crucial situations where he might be better off not trusting his teammates.

Agreed, not saying it not possible to do again (doubt it) but a 'jump shooting' type team usually doesn't win too often. Lakers in 6, cuz they'll win 1 in Orlando.

LeBron losing is more fodder for the conspiracy theorists.

{glances @ his own user tag}

You see, who wants to promote a CLE/LAL finals, even with LeBron and Kobe. By making the Cavs lose, Stern is adding fuel to LeBron's desire to leave ("I can't win in Cleveland) and go to New York. then you let them build a team quickly around him and you have the motherload--NY/LAL with Kobe and LeBron.

When it happens, just remember where you heard it first.

who else should have the ball in their hands at crunch time in the closing minutes then your star player?
Derek Fisher sounds good to me just like Robert Horry did.

This just in....

Derek Fisher is 3rd, all-time, for three-pointers in the NBA Finals.

Guess who's above him???

Yup, MJ's on the list....he's second.

Robert Horry's #1. (He's sunk 40 of 'em).
