Unsettling lighting, sequinned jackets, giant hoop earrings, hot dogs, pink hair, sweaty guys pushing each other about - she's like my adorably sinister spirit animal.

Shirtless boys dancing, fighting and being sexually tribalistic. Best video ever.

Circumambient is probably my favorite, but I love Vowels and Be A Body too. But really the whole cd is excellent!

Default Grimes
The Grimes album has completely floored me. Reminds me of early Bjork, Aphex Twin and The Knife on Lithium.

Claire took over Gorilla vs Bear today and posted some other cool stuff.

Isn't it just amazing?! I can't get enough! For a more lo-fi affair (traditional witch house, if you will), check out her earlier release Halfaxa. Out of this whole witch house, um, movement (?), which I thought had died until I heard the new Grimes, only Halfaxa, oOoOO and Balam Acab survived.

Based on what you said here I got the Visions album, and have been listening to it non-stop. I really love Infinite Love Without Fulfillment, Circumambient, and Be A Body!!!

I have been in total love with her since Halfaxa, and the new one is BOSS! I'm downloading another album thanks to a link in the 2012 thread, I believe it was there. And thanks to who posted it. I know she has one more album but I can't find it anywhere, it was either her debut or after Geidi Primes.

I'm not sure what it's called. I just looked at that one, it's not it.

I've been looking up Grimes interviews, and she is absolutely charming! And a Mariah Carey fan!

As Hex Object pointed out in the 2012 Albums thread: the first two releases are available for a donation from her record company.
I'm in love these two tracks from Halfaxa
