Default Concorde to take to the skies again?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8712806.stm

Not as a passenger jet though, unfortunately.

Well the crash in 2000 didn't help, and there were low passenger numbers due to 9/11. Also the airlines found they could make more money flying first class passengers sub-sonically when the aircraft were grounded after the crash.

Of course conspiracy theorist cite other reasons.

USA was jealous and wouldn't allow it. Also not very cost effective. Even so, Virgin wanted them iirc, but BA wouldn't sell.

its an amazing machine.. have had the pleasure once of seeing it up close and personal...
i am sure after a safe engine start and a taxi run the craft would be up to its task
hopefully it will fly again...
