Default Games to Rant About
I just wanted to make a thread about any games you love much more than average or hate much more than average. i mean your very favourite and least favourite games. not looking for a 'COD4 is great, hour of victory sucks', because that's what most people think. your games 'to love' can be good, mainstream games like COD4, but i want the games you *really* love, you love an unusually high amount. perhaps it's a game which gets a bad rap which you think is pretty good? and for least fav games, i don't want hour of victory, because we know that's bad. something that sme people might like - something that you dislike much more than most people

the thing is, most games fall under this category for me. i'll expand a lot if i get replies, but for now...

love masses: starcraft
hate masses: fallout 3

Homeworld, Freespace 2.

Both technically flops, both extremely well made.

I like more than most : Gothic (the first one)..
I dont like even if other people like it: Sins of a solar empire

like : for some reason this game sucked me right in. maybe i melded into the weird controls without a problem, maybe i liked the atmosphere, maybe i didnt mind the graphics..it was all so good to me and i loved playing it so much.

dont like: i have tried many times to get into this game and although i like the main concept of the game, and being a huge strategy game fan, i still couldnt get into it..maybe it just took too long for something to happen? maybe the game was too slow? i really dont know, but i do know that i cant be bothered to try and get into it again.

I hated Mass Effect. Good name for it would have been 'Ass' Effect.
I loved Gothic 3. Thought it was better than Oblivion (which was very good).

I love Silent Hill 2 waaaaaayyy too much.

As for least loved... anything dealing with guitars, drum sets, dance pads, and stupid flailing nun chucks. If I wanted to do that kind of stuff (which I do play real instruments and play sports outside), I'd do the real thing.

This is a hard one since there are a few games I could hold as my favorite. Most are from the NES/Genesis/SNES

Favorite: Starcraft--PC

I still play this game, sometimes multiple times a week and I got it shortly after it was released like 10 years ago. I have more time into this than any other game.

Hated: Warcraft 3

I could not get into it no matter how hard I tried. I think the whole hero thing killed it for me. This is one, after a few years now, I gotta give another go since I like Starcraft so much.
