Even Nixon Supported Abortions. . .

Nixon was a great president http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

Nixon knew about the threat posed by Obama and wanted to nip it in the bud. Truly a great visionary.

Nixon was a despicable president.

Why isn't anyone researching a gay vaccination?

Those comments being bigoted are too obvious to comment on. People on this site seek a challenge.

Yes continueing the previous hatred into current times. Classy.

Hinigyday 06-24-2009 05:24 PM

Nixon was so paranoid, so prejudiced, so full of himself that the tapes often read like parody. I doubt anyone intends to defend his misogynist, racist, bitter, paranoid views in current times. He considered himself above the law, and beyond the reach of society's calls for conformity. However, he despised others who would not conform to those same calls. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/nono.gif

I think Nixon was an abortion.

Rah: Possibly.

Kuci: Nixon was so corrupt he was forced from office. The only President so condemned in US history. What makes you say he was a great President? Were you alive during his years in office? He was a genuine hypocrite and used Government agencies to serve his own ends on a scale never seen before or since. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/nono.gif

Yes, I actually had the privledge to vote for him in my first presidential election.

His dealings with CHINA were considered historic at the time. He also had the Vietnam war to deal with. I don't think he was any more corrupt than his contempories. JFK was not the saint that he was portrayed as. It would have been interesting to see how history would think of him if he hadn't been shot. To this day I still believe that Nixon was a good president. He may have been a bigoted ass-hole but being an ass is almost a prerequisite of being a good president. Good men like carter, ford, bush I weren't reelected for a good reason.

Hitler was good ruler in spite of his anti-Semitism.

For one, he opened up a trillion-dollar market to the global economy.

pumpineemob 06-24-2009 09:17 PM

He also started the EPA and initiated the Clean Air Act.

If he had his way, the US would have had Universal Health Care back in the 1970s.

Rah: He was elected based in part on his "secret plan to end the war." He then escalated the war into Cambodia and Laos. He asked the head of the FBI to destroy evidence, which nearly happened. He used former CIA people to spy on his '72 opponent, and they too got caught. He wasn't just corrupt in his use of the government, but incompetent to boot. I don't think he was worse as far as taking money was concerned, but using campaign funds to buy silence from the Watergate crew is a proven event. That's obstruction of justice. The list goes on. China was the work of his Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/angry.gif
It is absolutely stunning that some Americans still think he was a great president. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/neeschud.gif

He **** in your nest and the country is still living with the byproduct of it today.

Funny that. The more things change the more they stay the same. Dems consulted then in 1970 and give the thumbs up on military action in a war without provocation against a sovereign nation, only to later on lay blame on a Repug President. 30 some odd years later do the same thing. I'm shocked shocked.

See, pro-choice folks couldn't ask for a better friend and advocate than tricky dick. They should put his image up on tv ads. This wins my 'best of troll' awards.
