there's got to be something about them and you can usually tell straight away. you know sometimes you can see a really pretty girl and not be attracted to her at all and another time you can see a girl who isn't that nice, but all you want to do is take her down an alley somewhere. i don't know what it is, it's just...well, something.

Generally speaking, that "something" is probably a chemical marker somewhere in his/her scent that tells your body that s/he has significant differentiation in his/her immune system. That way any offspring will have a higher chance of survival.
