Default 2 years jail for trolling?
Trolling doesn't necessarily fit that definition.

If this woman is a moderator elsewhere, that's punishment enough.

the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person Asher is correct that trolling doesn't necessarily fit. Most trolling is not intended to coerce, intimidate, harass or cause substantial emotional distress. It is simply to put out a controversial statement and see how many respond.

If was to limit that sort of trolling, this law would easily be found to violate the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution.

The government is surprisingly ahead of the curve here. "troll" was a Gen1 troll, "liar" is Gen2, and "bully" is Gen3.

Then I think we better get with the times at CFC and start infracting people for lying. :ack:
You should. It's out of control here. We have several posters who have never said anything truthful in their entire posting history on this site.

Cyber bullying is a totally different thing from trolling.

How does it work if the person has been accused of being a panda f**ker?

This law is preposterous and largely unenforceable.

Is this based on the case where the mother of one child pretended to be an online boyfriend of another child and then drove that child to kill herself?

Would it be crime, if I pretended to be a panda on whoopsie just to toy with Dale's heart?

Prolly. An adult getting her jollies from tormenting a 13 year old girl until she killed herself is the cause of this over reaction. However, I wouldn't be sure that'd be something to be proud of.
