I would think air to air will be a natural progression here. You have an aircraft tha is not limited by having a human pilot aboard. Humans eventually won't be able to compete. And the ultimate, your pilots will always be getting better since they're not dieing. The only issue to me is the lack of the threat of death might become a weakness since they'll be no reason to try something stupid since you're not at personal risk.
