The dictator is a Dr. Phil look alike. Belarus is a strange European anomaly. The only reason a Dr. Philshenko remains in power is because Belarus itself has absolutely no value in terms of untapped resources or in strategic terms. Hence why no one really cares what happens there and there is no serious international pressure from Western powers.

Seriously, next time I'm in London I will not be having the sushi or any coffee. The KGB is drugging and poisoning that stuff.

Wasn't that other job done in London as well? Damn, it's a dangerous place, lots of hot activity, better stay out

Anyway, sucks for this guy. Hopefully he gets out soon and in full health.

For one thing they presumably have not released any CCTV tapes of the incident.

On the upside gravel and scrap metal prices would likely get cheaper in Lithuania after Belarus is bombed into the stone age.

Plus I doubt Russia would stand on the sidelines allowing it to happen.

Would it be practical to storm secret police HQs in these countries, publish the identity of informants and agents on the internet, and then watch the regime collapse?

I got the idea after hearing about the panic Stasi went into during reunification. These are big organizations with everything documented. And being tied to collaboration is still a big deal in much of Eastern Europe.

It also plays to America's strengths. A quick hard hit at a defined target. No fussing around with establishing law and order. No occupation. Just take and hold a building or two for as long as it takes to get what you need, and leave. Then eat greasy hamburgers and watch football while horrible things happen far far away.
