Damn it just shows you how ignorant the American Networks were in the 70's.

Hahaha, that's awesome.

I remember a Bill Bryson bit where he was saying how in an airline magazine (for an American airline, dunno which) they'd stated that Scotland is "a little to the north of England."

Well, actually Mr Airline-Magazine-Writer, it's attached to England. It's more right there when you cross the border."

I love seeing old TV clips be they American, British or whatever. They're almost always hilarious, usually unintentionally.

Oh come on, even though I know you're not originally from Scotland, I think that video just described you word for word.

The video doesn't even get Scottish people right, let alone me. For a start, it's not sugary things they love. It's almost anything that's deep fried.

I still can't bring myself to try a deep fried Mars Bar...

You can tell they did the editing in America, because any journalist would be chibbed and robbed for saying those things.

I've had a deepfried curly wurly, I can tell you that it was one of the most disgustingly sickally(sp) things I've ever tasted.

I saw an American chef on telly once, upon hearing that a Scottish chippy will deep-fry just about anything he asked for, got and enjoyed a deep-fried pickled egg...

I don't see the big deal with haggis when the same people often might not like liver but for some reason don't think it's as gross.
