Friends and close associates of both Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are now convinced that, assuming she loses the race for the presidential nomination, she is probably going to fight to be the vice presidential nominee on an Obama-for-president ticket.
Duh. Thanks for nothing. |

The calculation HC is making isn't what's best for America, it is what HC's ego demands. Couldn't they do a Blair-Brown type scenario and Hillary gracefully leave the race and accept an offer of VP in exchange for Obama not standing for a second term and endorsing her in '12? |

They could, but Obama is a young man. After beating her for the nomination why would he agree to limit himself to one term? |

So, what it boils down to is that instead of McCain winning what might be a tight race, he'll end up receiving it on a silver platter.
I'm not nearly the only one that would consider Obama, but want nothing to do with Hillary. Guess this makes for an easy decision now for people like me. Kind of a shame. |

They just like saying they will and then end up going for McCain in the end. |

The issue is that disaffected conservative republicans who might sit out a McCain-Obama race will come out to vote against Hillary. Obama needs to nominate a Clintonite; Ed Rendell, Wes Clark, and even Evan Bayh wold work. But he doesn't need Clinton. And, frankly, if I were Hillary I'd be holding out for either Senate majority leader or SCOTUS, not veep. |

I've heard you repeat this a number of times but it doesn't get any less lame or laughable as it ages. "OMG! Obama found his opponent didn't have enough legal voters who signed his petition for candidacy so he's TEH EVIL!" ![]() You know damn well any politician would object if the opposition tried to get on the ballot using signatures from other states. The whole point of a electing a local representative is to represent local people. The other person just got lazy and got caught; tough break for her. |

WTG, Imran. Being consistently assuming. What you said indicates that you pay one bit of attention to anything I say. THere are so many wrong assumptions in your remark, I'm not going to bother addressing them. Think what you want. And I will. I think you are full of it. You've called for more moderate politicians socialists or commies before. When push comes to shove, you'll do it again. |

The only candidate that I really had hopes for, and let me down to the ground. He did nothing that I have positive memories about. |

A) He didn't do anything but NAFTA, which sucks. He allowed numerous terrorist atttacks with no response.
His being a dumbass about his whores is the least of his problems. B) Anyone that says they invented the internet, that's all it takes. I realize the chance for a VP to shine is limited, but Big Al takes to a new low. C) Certainly I do. You're trying to make me go for radical liberal or radical conservative. That's bullshit. Actually, chickenshit. |
