We even have public health care, high "minimum wages" - sigh - I could go on. Protectionism has never done anything good. What does that have to do with the US since we have a deficit? edit: Oh and protectionism has often done much better than free trade. Most countries have developed economically with protected industries, including US, UK, Japan and Germany. |
