So how many of you..

You don't have to carry the thing with you all the time - at least that's it's how it's here in Krautland.

They are a total waste of time for a multitude of obvious reasons...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ons/icon13.gif

and only required if leaving the country.

The only means widely available to identify american citizens at the moment seems to be their driving licence and their SSN (Social security number) http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

I'll keep mine right next to my work id so when I get asked for my national one, oops! My work one comes out too!!!
(How clumsy of me...)

KinicsBonee 11-22-2006 03:58 PM

I have one. It's called a "driver's license". Most Americans have them. More than likely if a national ID card ever came into existence the driver's license would do as a substitute.

Clunlippibe 11-23-2006 01:23 AM

Rufus, *shhh* it's just like driver's license. or student card... don't worry, stop whining!
