Well I intend to list my Xbox 360 on ebay very soon (around 8PM so it ends 8PM next Sunday as it should improve the final sell), but I have a question regarding delivery. Because this item is heavy and fragile, I need it to get to its destination safely and securely when it's sold, so which delivery service to use?
I intend to find a slightly bigger box if possible to put it in with plenty of polystyrene and bubble wrap as well. Unless anyone has any better suggestions, then any suggestions are welcome. ![]() |

Either Special Delivery or with a decent courier. Either way, it will be a fair amount. I guess it'll be Special Delivery, but do you get insurance bundled with Special Delivery automatically or do you need to pay extra for it? |

I usually use these guys. I've never had any problems with them.

thought you were very pro-sony recently
![]() better safe than sorry anyway. rmsd might be the way to go. have to admit i do use parcel2go (dhl) quite a lot though. however their openly admitted success rate of 96% always sounds worrying to me. its like they randomly pick a few parcels each day and keep em. "ooo look an xbox" |

Also you've got final fantasy 12 to look forward to. Its good ![]() I've also missed out on some titles on the PS2 such as Metal Gear (yes, I know), so I think i'll look on ebay for a cheap second hand copies and play through them. ![]() |

yeh im only jokin bud ![]() Anyway, GamerG good luck on the shipping. I would reconsider selling it on ebay, and look for a local sale to not deal with the shipping issues. Of course...I would probably reconsider selling until after spring gets through...if none of the games coming out are worth it then, it would be easier to sell. ![]() |

Not so fun....I am just so tired of D-S. So many grammatical errors and spelling errors, name calling, instigating, etc. |

I'd admit ebay isn't really the way I want to sell this thing, but i'm afraid of any sudden potential price drops of the console which would lead to the depreciation of the value of it - even if MS say there won't be any price drops this year. Have you tried a campus message board or the like? I am extremely careful with ebay and haven't had problems but it would suck to have the console damaged or for it to break a few days later and them blame you. |

I'd be worried as well....something is up because different retailers seem to be making new pack ins. Maybe the MSRP doesn't change but they could through in GoW through a retailer rebate, etc. |

Umm, Interparcel is the best courier I've found (cheapest). Basically you put package info in and it finds the cheapest. Those with accounts get 5% off (after 1st sale I think). Cost you about £11 I think via courier.
If not Royal Mail 1st Class recorded and insured as extra might be cheaper. |

Ok, something new - someone has offered to pay me £250 inc the P&P costs for the console and the extra wireless controller I bundled in the auction. He's a reliable seller from the looks of things with over 200 positive feedback, but if I agree, then it seems he wants it delivered by Parcel2Go. Judging from online reviews, I'm not sure about this company.
Shall I use parcel2go, or tell him i'll use Royal Mail for safety? For valueable goods on parcel2go, it costs roughly the same as Royal Mail anyway. Or should I reject his offer of 250 quid for the premium console and extra wireless controller? |
