I donīt see much TV and only rarely American TV but I did recently catch a short interview with Donald Trumpīs children. I imagine these two will eventually take over their fatherīs business... which will of course mean that theyīll have quite an influence, architecturally speaking, on NYC and elsewhere. Whatīs the dirt on these two? Smart kids? Spoiled brats? They seemed intelligent and very polished. His daughter was low-key modern looking... nothing like her shoulder padded mom. Despite the Donaldish light blue tie & shirt combo, the son seemed cool. I wonder what kind of decisions theyīll make.

I remember watching a program once about Trump where he claimed he made every attempt not to spoil his kids. Apparently his son often had to borrow money from friends while at college to pay for standard expenses. And I'm sure most of them reminded him of his last name and said "you've absolutely got to be kidding".

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was hyper stingy with his kids when it comes to money, not considering how callous he is when it comes to charitable giving. The most his foundation has ever given in a year is what, like $350K? Check this guy out - for him supposedly being a billionaire, he is the modern day Mr. Scrooge.

Thanks for the kudos, Andrew. Or, the agreement anyway!
Trump, check it man, the more I see and read and hear of this man the more respect I lose for him. I'm telling you: Read O'Brien's book "Trump Nation." It'll make your head spin and your skin crawl. I love that even though Trump was claiming billions in assets, he Regulaotors in Jersey were claiming Trump didn't have enough cash to support his casino companies. Their report said that Trump's Organization was really hurting. Of course, since it seems Trump doesn't have the money he claims he has, maybe that IS why Trump stiffed his kids while they were in college! |

Trump stiffed his kids while they were in college! Kudos to Donald for doing the right thing and assuring the future happiness of his kids. Few things promote lifelong misery as effectively as being spoiled. |

Kudos to Donald for doing the right thing and assuring the future happiness of his kids. Few things promote lifelong misery as effectively as being spoiled. Anyway, the real argument I was making is that I was not at all surprised to hear Trump was stingy with his kids, considering how ridiculously stingy he has been with charitable giving. Do you believe that Trump is "doing the right thing and assuring the future happiness" of those in need - when he is stiffing folks concerning charity? Or do you feel someone of Trump's stature should not be giving much in charity? Does being charitable hurt Trump's self-made image as a once bankrupt, mover and shaker, with a heart of stone? |

Didn't know that Trump had opened his own University: http://www.trumpuniversity.com/index.cfm
But, alas ... Can I earn college credits or a degree by taking courses from Trump University? Trump University does not offer credits or degrees. |

"The Smoking Gun" has got the goods: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/trumpcheap1.html Trump is as cheap as they come, for a man of his purported wealth. Per capita, I can guarantee I give one helluva lot more to charity than Trump does. In fact, I bet most Americans do. Just noticed you quoted me on the forum and stated that Forbes says Trump is a billionaire. Good for Forbes! Those types always stick together. All I can say is that everyone who really wants the nitty gritty on Trump should read "Trump Nation." The man is a paper tiger and the "paper" ain't all green. |

[quote=BigGreen]Yes, indeed, the good old smoking gun comes to rescue the truth. Thanks for bringing that up, lofter1.
Wait until the Smoking Gun gets down to business about how Trump hired Anthony Pellicano, that publicity nut PI, to tap Marla Maples phone. Pellican just got charged last month with wiretapping Stallone and that Kung Fu guy Carradine. He also bribed a policeman to give him all kinds of dirt on Hollywood types. When the Smoking Gun gets down to the facts on Trump's use of this Dirtbag Pellicano to tap Maples' phone, The Donald may be in a world of hurt. |

Hadn't heard about Trump playing with Pellicano, but Are you really surprised Trump hired this guy to bug Maples phone? Does Trump do anything on the up and up anything legit anymore? |

ouch ^ now who's fired? Seems this Private Eye was hit with these illegal wiretapping charges just before he was due to be released from prison on explosives charges. I guess Donald Trump really does only hire the best and the cleanest and the most professional types to do his dirty work. |
