Default Anyone have bums asking them for money all the time?
I live in the city of Melbourne and it's common for me to run into a bum every few days that's walking up to me and asking for change. Now the person I am I don't give anything.

So last night I was walking home and this couple that sort of looked a bit rough was about to ask something, and I flat out said no straight away! [surrender]

They didn't even get the chance to say anything as I said my answer before I got asked the question. Typically I will always hear someone out, no matter what. However I wasn't too pleased with myself for rejecting someones plea before they even had a chance to tell me what they wanted. Thing was it sounded like they were shocked that I walked passed and immediately rejected their approach. It might have been someone asking directions as there are a lot of tourists about now. My instincts might have been right and it could have been bums as always.

Anyone here have this situation of homeless asking them all the time for change? Do you ever give change?

Oh and mind you it's not just homeless asking. There are younger girls that ask "oh my car broke down and I need $20 to get some fuel, give me your details and I'll pay you back!". Once I hear em spit it out, and I tell em "yeah heard that one before", you should see em get all shitty at you and called you all sorts of things. At least the homeless people never say anything back.

I just don't want to turn into a complete judgmental ass. As I'm happy to help people as long as it's not asking for money. [oops]
