Hi , I was wondering if anyone has done the Dolphin encounter at Ocean World. Would you recommend the encounter or the swim. And what is the price range for the souvenirs, such as the video or pictures. Thanks to all who reply.

If you do a search and type in Ocean World, you will no doubt find much info on this attraction. Also, try checking out the trip report section or general travel questions section, there used to be many threads on it.

Dolphin Encounter takes place in waist deep water, better suited for people uncomfortable swimming and kids.

Dolphin Swim has less people, has more interaction time, and takes place in deeper water.

Photos range from US$9 (4 x 6 photo with Ocean World card) to US$22 (framed 8 x 11)

Videos are US$35 (North American NTSC system) and US$38 (PAL/Seacam - Europeans systems). They include stock airial footage of the area, hotels, and Ocean World and then has your swim/encounter edited in after.

The encounter is excellent worth every cent, the sea lion encounter, swim reef, everything is worthwhile an excellent way to spend a whole day. Souvenirs some might think they are pricey but I will tell you that you get what you pay for, the quality of souvenirs at Ocean world is excellent.
