I have been living here in the DR since 1989 and of course have a Dominican Residency....its is a pain in the a** every two years when I have to renew my Residency....I have been thinking of obtaining dual Canadian and Dominican citizenship with both Nationality's.

My question is has anyone here on Dr1 ever taken this step and could you tell me what if any the pro's, cons, and pitfalls might be?

I'm curious if Robert, Hillbilly,Bushbaby or any other long timer on Dr1 has attemted such action?
