Default Hypocrisy in the Executive Office
The report in today's dr1 news summary about Mejia lecturing the workers on giving up vices would be hilarious if it weren't so disgusting:

Mejía says to save by cutting vices
In an address yesterday to labor leaders and trade union representatives to mark International Workers’ Day, President Hipólito Mejía said that he was concerned about the cost of basic items for ordinary workers and that he was working hard to find a better supplier of domestic cooking gas to make the price more accessible. He added that social ills begin in the home and called on people to give up what he referred to as “vices”, such as gambling, drinking and smoking. "The many problems this country has begin in the home, which is the smallest unit of society," he told those assembled, adding that he had never spent a cent on a lottery ticket, nor does he drink, “and it hasn't killed me"

He should talk! "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". This is just another case of the President (Gov't) being out of touch with the people (workers). It is a "do as I say and not as I do" attitude. It only stands to reason, the government sets the example, the people follow suit. The gov't shoots craps with the people's money every day and the only ones walking away from the table with their pockets full are the "Pepe" types. The President needs to clean house first before talking down to the people.

Now it is time for me to get down off my soapbox. Regards, PJT

Since I don't drink or play the lottery I see no reason why my economy would be this bad. I guess I will just start drinking, smoking and doing dope, then I can quit and become wealthy
