I agree with the basic premise of your post, but I must disagree on the specifics. They can drag it out a lot longer than 4 years if they want to. That puts us in a bit of a catch 22. Do we hope that a liberty minded person gets in, knowing that they can put the rug out from under the country when that happens? Or do we want more of Obama et al, knowing that they can keep it going for several more decades of the same thing. Neither is a good option. It shows the futility of trying to change things though the presidency or any other public office. In order for things to really change, those who are not public must be exposed and defeated.

So true. Spend a year in northeastern NV and a year in Las Vegas. The Californians invaded southern NV and produced shit like Harry Reed and control the rest of the state by their big city (dump) numbers. Meanwhile the Nevadans in the NE portion of the state hate the rest of the state and are very libertarian.
