As you can tell from the million or two responses, everyone here knows what BSG is.

I can only presume it's Big Sexy Guys.

Watch it if you haven't, even if you don't like sci-fi as there are no aliens, only humans and the robots that they created. Great show!

I still need to finish that series. I am typically not a Sci-Fi fan but it has been quite good.

I am somewhere in Season 3 right now, been watching it on Netflix with 1080p and 5.1 looks great and the Blu-rays will look even better! Enjoy! [thumbup]

Battlestar Gallactica..........
There you go shattering his hopes.

I bought the Blu-Ray set too! It's a huge markdown for a set that I've been waiting to buy for a long time, so YEAH!.

They say you learn something new every day. From this thread I have learned that people from Montreal have absolutely no sense of humour.

Amazon.co.uk are selling it for £66.97, which is around the same price (actually a tad less based on current exchange rates).

Bear McCreary's score is epic. I own them ALL. If there is one thing that can be said about the score though, its that the bigger your sub, the more epic it gets.

And considering I have full range fronts with 12" bi-amped woofers, as well as a decent 12" velodyne sub its full of epicness.

Storming New Caprica
Kara's Coordinates
All Along the Watchtower (cover)
Kara Remembers
Prelude to War
....

All so epic, the drums rock.

I'm going to listen to the score now.

Sadly we have to pay import duties on everything over ~20 pounds over here

Thats okay, it ends well.

Also get the original - only really good things were that several of the actresses were literally sewn into their outfits - I think that must have applied to all Erin Grey's clothes..
Then get the original movie - only reason I didn't walk out was I didn't think I'g get my money back...

The shaky cam in that series is ridiculous. They tried to make it look like The Bourne Identiy in space or something. Bourne was cool, but this was just unwatchable. The series looks like a B-movie. How anyonw can withstand more than two episodes in a row without getting a headache is beyond me. Then again I was never interested in the BSG universe anyway, but this series stood out to me as a big "wannabe Hollywood".

Huh?

In my opinion this was one of the absolute best drama series on television ever, not just in the sci-fi genre. The writing, cinematography, musical scores, character studies etc... were all beyond my expectations. Each episode seemed to be over in 10 minutes always leaving you wanting more. The series was critically aclaimed as well.

"The series featured Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell, and garnered a wide range of critical acclaim, including a Peabody Award and the Television Critics Association's Program of the Year Award, as well as Emmy nominations for its writing and directing." From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles...2004_TV_series)

Sorry I'm with THE_FRUITY_ONE, this series rocked all the way, except maybe for the very last 30 minutes.....
