Default Question on post star ratings..
Who puts the star ratings on the threads and how are they rated? In other words, what standards are used when rating a thread?

It's up to members to rate threads. There's a button that reads "Rate Thread" at the top of threads, giving the average rating. Please check the FAQ before starting topics like this.

Well it's good to know that we now have two grading systems to be abused..

One person, one vote per thread. How can that be abuse? It's democracy.

Personally, I think this grading system is a stupid thing to have.

And to take it as seriously as some of you apparently are, is a bit much as well.

Wanna throw "bad" reports at me? It's only pixels on a screen. Knock yourselves out.

But Dumbie is firmly on the liberal side of the equation, doesn't it make sense that he would vote against conservative threads and for liberal ones (if in fact he's the one who did the voting)? That's basically how my votes have come down on the occasions that I voted, and I wasn't abusing, I was just voting.

Another thing to consider is that most threads in politics are started by members who are espousing a firmly right or firmly left point of view, so I'm guessing the votes are either going to be 'strongly agree' or 'strongly disagree'-- rarely in the '3 star' range.
