Need some advice

I love my boyfriend very much. We have been dating for a year and a half now. We have our ups and downs like everyone else. I met this guy at work and after a few months I started to like him. We started hanging out a lot and the other night we kissed. I just dont understand how this can happen? I mean does this happen to everyone? How can I be so in love with someone, but want to kiss someone else? Any advice?
