2008 BMW M3 Australian Launch
 

Hey guys!!! Today I attended my first launch of a new car, and a pretty good one too!!! The 2008 M3 Australian launch! This is how it happened:
My mom and I were going to our BMW dealer (Canterbury BMW) to get our car washed cos they giv us a free wash every 2 weeks (they reckon other washes damage the paint) to our disappointment, the servicing department was only open on weekdays so we decided to talk to the guy we bought our car off about a part we were waiting for.
We went to the car park but the man said there wasnt any spaces up on roof and asked us if we were here to see the M3, so I made my mom say that we were. http://images.worldcarfans.com/CSS/forums/icon11.gif
Tony (the guy we bought the car from) invited us to the rooftop to see the M3s. We then walked to the rooftop car park only to find around 30-40 M3s ranging from the 1st gen M3 to the e46 M3 CSL. I started looking around and suddenly the 2008 M3 came up the ramp really fast and started to do some "stunt driving" http://images.worldcarfans.com/CSS/forums/driver.gif and the engine sounded awesome and the tires were screeching like hell http://images.worldcarfans.com/CSS/forums/ylsuper.gif and I also managed to take a video with my phones camera but it came out crap
After that, we were all invited to come down to the showroom to see the M3 in detail. I sat in the car and took some photos of the red interior of the black M3 and also of the silver one w/ a black interior. http://images.worldcarfans.com/CSS/forums/banana.gif
So with some very, very, very x1000023 good luck, I was able to attend an M3 owners invitation only launch of the new M3!!! Ill post some pics and a video (very low res) soon so watch this space!
