I have a Fuji A210 Digicamera. I didn't know how it worked at first but now I know. You will probably get a USB Cable is connect to the computer. My big bro has got mine! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsad.gif http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/angry.gif . I've had mine for two/three years now. 3.2 mega pixel. 150

SD does mean Secure Digital. Like I said in the other thread, Canon is always a good bet.

Maybe there is something there that might be of help.

Well I asked Canon and they emailed me this:
"Compatible storage media for the MPC200[the scanners name] are, CompactFlash card, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Secure Digital card, MultiMediaCard abd others that support PCMCIA Type II slot."
Am I correct in guessing SD = Secure Digital card?

Thanks Santeno, there was some useful stuff in the old thread, which answered the first question, but theres another few questions which are a bit more specific.
I like Canon and Sony cameras, Nikon not so sure, Pentax a bit more pricey.
I have a 2-year old Canon scanner, so would all manufacturers memory card be compatible with it - or only Canon?
And if I bought a Sony camera, would a Fuji memory card be compatible with the Sony camera itself?

digital cameras: i need HELP!!!

i don't know much about them, and i'm gonna buy one soon so you need to answer a few questions about them please!!!!! http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/biggrin.gif
1. which manufacturers are reliable and have a *reasonable* price?
2.in a 128MB memory card, how many photos can go into it? i've been told about 140 i think, but i want a second opinion
3.which manufacturer makes decent memory cards? (anyone heard of PNY or Lexar... are they any good?)
4. I've got a Canon printer-copier-scanner... so will it only work with a Canon digital camera? Does it matter which manufacturer makes the memory card?

It's not the brand of your memory card that matters, but the type of card. find out what type of card your hardware reads (SD, memorystick, etc.). if your camera and your imaging hardware use the same card type, you should be able to transfer image files directly (if the hardware is capable). If not you'll have to use your pc as an interface - at which point the type of storage medium you use ceases to matter
