Default My latest ebay score!
Here are the results of probably my best snipe ever on ebay. I scored this 19.25oz silver eagle set from 1969 for slightly under spot about a month ago. Of course, at that time, spot silver was over $40, so I took a hurt when silver prices tumbled down to the low $30s, but it won't be long before silver rebounds. I finally got around to photographing the set, I hope you like it!

Hey, those of you who are "off to ebay"...

I'm going to suggest that you do something that is ethically questionable, but morally right. Try and contact the seller through ebay's message system, and get their email or phone number under some auction question pretext. Attempt to set up a "backroom" deal that bypasses ebay and their fees. You don't want to be giving ebay and paypal (owned by the same gun-grabbing leftist globalist fucks) any of your resources, do you? Plus, the seller likes it, they get more money for their goods by not having to pay ebay anything.
I do this all the time, it's the only reason I maintain an ebay account. I SMILE from ear-to-ear every time I do it too... and sleep REALLY well at night. I kind of like seeing myself in the mirror too!

I've been successful at this around 80% of the time... in the rare occasion where the seller doesn't want to "play", it's usually because they've set up their ebay business too "integrated" and automated to ebay's system.

I don't know, all it takes is one guy to keep your money, never send you the item and then ignore you. You'd have no recompense at all if the guy was shifty! I've had enough problems on ebay with legitimate auctions, I don't think I'd want to risk sending money to a complete stranger based on nothing but trust.

I can't recall if I read it on line or was told directly; but did Ebay do away with the ability of the seller to set a reserve price? If so, being a seller on Ebay just got very risky and sellers have an incentive to to accept "under the table" offers, particularly during slow times.
