Been using Google Music a lot lately.

The native Android app is great and I love having access to (most) of my music all the time, anywhere.

The option to download to my phone is great too. Even though I have 48GB of storage on my phone, I don't need to have any of it stored locally until I want to download it.

I also like how when I put it on shuffle, I can select the artist or album below the artwork and it jumps straight to them.

The networks where I live are nice and fast it only takes a few seconds to buffer the whole song so most of the time the songs are just playing off the phone locally without downloading over the cell radio.

I have been using it for about 4 hours and will use it an hour more at the gym but with that usage I am at 47% battery after my phone has been off the charger 26 hours. (That is including other usage like calls, text, email, browsing, etc.) It looks like the app is only using 2-4% of my battery.

As far as the international release, I am not sure.

I had an iPhone 4 but now I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2.

Unfortunately there is not a native Google Music app on iOS yet.

Google needs to get this out of Beta and deliver it beyond US borders ASAP.

Default Anyone using Google Music?
Basically, it allows you to upload your music and stream it from anywhere including an Android Smartphone.

I just got an invite to it. Here is some information: http://music.google.com/about/

Anyone using this? How do you like it? I love the idea of a central location for all of my music, since I listen to it across all kinds of devices.

Actually, I don't have any Pink Floyd albums on Google Music and only have a fraction of my music in general because I just realized it doesn't support lossless formats. I have a bunch of vinyls I have converted and most of my music I rip in ALAC format, from CDs.

I used to have thousands of albums and then deleted all the stuff I would never actually listen to and down to about 200 now. Plus a lot on spotify, which is great for trialling new stuff. Since I turned 30 I seem to have completely gone against ripping off the music industry.

I've had it for a few weeks now, used it while i'm in the car, and else where but home. Works pretty well. Good service and the interface for uploading, on the web, and on my phone and tablets is nice to use.

I'd be tempted to use it, if I weren't daunted by the month of tying up my upload bandwidth giving google all my music...

Does your phone cache the song's once they've been downloaded once? Or is that at least an option?

Click the link and read the very first bullet. You may not even have to scroll down.

Nah and I can't even here in Malta.

Anyway, my 300 gb of music is always steaming to my phone with subsonic and it's far better than any service if you already have a large collection.

Who the hell needs Google Music, Amazon Cloud or iCloud ?
