It'll be a classic if people (probably Loin...) start posting before and after pictures of the food.

I had KFC.

Poly doesn't like me posting pics anymore but you can probably find one here:

I would think that after your last adventure, your dinner menu would have been adjusted a tad.

My dinner:

This is a classic example of why there are professional "food" photographers and film directors. Food is one on the hardest things to capture on film or video. It takes a real pro to make food actually look good in a picture or video.

For all I know, it was a great dinner Alby... but it sure looks like crap

But at least they make the food look edible

I love the local cable tv spots for local restaurants. They are low budget, and the food looks so bad, you would never want to eat at the place after seeing the commercial

Have you seen Julia Childs and that Jacques lately? Julia Childs doesn't look like she can stand up much longer. Jacques is really patient.

Dude, Julia Child died in 2004, at age 91.

That's Jacques Pepin who ran with her BTW.

I got into a fistfight with my stepbrother on an italian sidewalk because of a couple of bad food-photos once. The restaurant had those lousy, pale pictures of Spagetti Bolognese and Pollo with fries that I refused to go in there after seeing them. My hungry Stepbrother got really annoyed and the fighting commenced on that sidewalk, an evening in the tourist town of Pietra Ligure on the Italian riviera.

I might have been 15 and he was a year and a half younger than me. I was however quite thin and he well trained so it was an even fight. That's what happens if you play civ on your free time and your stepbrother plays Ice Hockey. That was probably also why he got so cranky when he got hungry.

It ended up with my father grabbing us by the necks to the next restaurant that was like 100 meters away.

Ms MOBIUS took us out to an Italian restaurant called Positano on Groupon. It was OK I guess, but nothing much to write home about.

Bruschetta Caprese
Veal Saltimbocca
Tiramisu

First two courses were OK, but the tiramisu was a bland shop bought effort.

BTW the Iraqi population here, which is the second largest in the country after Detroit, is mostly Chaldean/Assyrians who are not Arabs, who are Christians, and who have nothing but negative things to say about Arabs in general and Muslims (especially Sunnis) in particular. There is nothing like asking the oppressed what they think about their oppressors. As for Morroccan food, it tastes good and I will take good food where ever it comes from plus they're the most open minded of all the North Africans with the largest Jewish population (they ran off most but not all of the Jews in 1949 where as other Arab nations literally burned out all their Jews) and the second largest Christian population after Egypt. The leadership is also highly westernized but they still don't want your Palestinian refugee ass there so I guess they're smarter then you give them credit for being. Your kind practically destroyed Lebanon and plunged it into endless Civil War taking what was the most prosperous nation in the Middle East (not to mention its only majority Christian nation) and turning it into a war torn crap hole. Is it any wonder no Arab nation wants you Palestinian refugees in their country?

I've never had a good burger at five guys. The place is just complete crap. Seriously, they use such low grade beef that they refuse to sell it any other way other then well done and since their patties are so small and thin that means they end up as dry tasteless over cooked hockey pucks. Not only is the burger crap but they arrogantly think they can charge $10 for their hockey puck. Give me a double double with grilled onions animal style any day especially since it's only like $3.95. It's simply a better burger for around 1/3rd the price.
