Default Any Floridians around?
Firstly, I may have just made that word up. Other than that, any Florida dwellers on here? Is it still hot in October? What's the humidity like that time of year? Around Orlando mainly.

It's been beautiful this month. The humidity hasn't yet come, so during the day it's in the 80's, and at night in the low 70's with low humidity. [thumbup]

Whoops

Late October it generally starts to get cool, but it depends on how early our winter starts. There have been times where it still gets in the 90's, and low 80's at night, but generally the weather is much more mild the later you get into October.

My parents live in West Palm Beach and I recently just came back. Weather was awesome, a lot better than here at Penn State that's for sure.

Actually, there are parts of Sarasota that are very nice. I went to a place called Gulfgate, and they had about 14 little pubs on a small street. [thumbup]

Hey! That's where my Gma lives! And yes, some parts of Sarasota are REALLY bad. Palmghetto?
Just across the way, however, is Anna Maria Island where my aunt lives which is super awesome.

Miami's nice all year round. The only real issue with that time of the year is precipitation.

I can absolutely guarantee you it will be shorts and t-shirt any day in october. Usually the best time of year here as nights get cooler but daytime highs are still from 70-85.

Sweeeeeet. Don't want it too hot as we'll be going round all the disney parks, cape canavaral, everglades etc but can't handle cold weather.

Still gonna have to pack jeans and jumpers though as having a few days in NYC on the way back.

I find that every time I decide to go to the beach in Florida it gets ridiculously windy and I only stay for 20 minutes. This was the case when I went for Thanksgiving and winter break. I'm hoping to make it to an hour this summer.

A tiny, tiny town near Altoona, also, I might be thinking of someone else, but did you used to live in Michigan?

I will start saving brain cells...

Also, I was raised near Orlando (Apopka, specifically), I remember being able to wear shorts year round at least while the sun is out.

I wouldn't bother. The amount of sambuca I'm planning on packing in, it won't make any difference how many you have to begin with.

Incidentally, I saw a man drink a litre bottle of wine in 18 seconds at the weekend. I was impressed until 15 minutes later when he was in the recovery position on a bench surrounded by puke and an odious aroma of urine.
