They're currently in common usage by millions of people so they deserve to be in the dictionary. It's just keeping up with the times. That doesn't mean that it's ok to use them in a formal letter or anything though.

If they're in common usage why not? You'd be surprised at what words have made it into the dictionary; try looking up a few swear words.

But that was before the days of the internet when every 13 year old couldn't just log on and post their every worthless thought in the most f***ed up version of language ever attempted.

The words that are created by these 13 year olds will slowly make their way in to a Dictionary. Do you honestly want that?
