What is it called when you accumulate two solid years' worth of moronic faux pas?

Not to state the obvious, but:
President Obama told French leader Mr Sarkozy that no country had closer ties with America than France.
This is hilariously false. And it's not Britain either...

The US is most closely died to Canada in virtually every aspect. Geographically, economically, culturally, etc.

Well, we have a lot in common with the French. We fear and mistreat Muslims, we rest on an unquestioned and unjustified sense of our own cultural superiority...okay, that's all I can think of. Maybe if I actually knew something about modern France?

They get far more oil & gas from Canada than Saudi Arabia
Saudi buys tons of American planes and other miltary equipment at mark-up prices and they are a vital staging point for the coming war on Iran, a war that the Saudis even lobby for. But on balance I'll be willing to make it a tie: Canada and Saudi Arabia are America's greatest allies and nobody else comes close.

I would dispute Imran's assertion that we don't get anything from Israel, but it's irrelevant--we quite clearly have very strong diplomatic ties. While Obama is less pro-Israeli than most past presidents and the State Department has never been too fond of Israel, Congress is overwhelmingly--greater than two-thirds--supportive of Israel. Congress, when united, is more powerful than the President, and as Congress is almost unanimously pro-Israel we have a very stable alliance.

Again, in all seriousness, isn't Obama's dislike for the British well-known?

I saw this blog:

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/ni...ainst-britain/

It gives a list of the top 10 insults Obama made against Britain. It includes such things as getting rid of a Churchill bust in the Oval Office as soon as Obama became president and refusing to meet the Prime Minister on five occasions.

It seems to be something that has gotten around that Obama is anti-British.

What does Israel provide the US?

Your views of Israel are almost hilarious.
True, but what does the UK get out of its "special relationship" with us? It's not as bad as our "Hey, if you stop breaking international law for six months we'll give you a crap-ton of cash!" "Hmmm...nope," but it's still a special relationship indeed.

Most of Europe free-rides on American defense. Although Canada's definitely the biggest free rider.

And Imran, they are still relevant. They just aren't as relevant as the US. No one is.

You need to get over yourself.

The rest of the world isn't free-riding on America for defense. Just because of the rest of the world is far more sane when it comes to military spending doesn't mean they don't do it because "the US will protect them".

The world is a different place post-WW2. You seriously think without the US being as powerful as it is someone would invade Canada? Do you understand how much of a logistical nightmare that is? Do you understand that far more countries other than the US would come to Canada's aid?

No country would do it. Russia certainly couldn't, Iran and China certainly couldn't either.

Only Mexico would need to go through us first, and they work here anyway. They could get off landscaping work on Friday, invade on the weekend and be back on Monday, no sweat. Those guys have a serious work ethic, the bloody Canucks wouldn't stand a chance.

No, they'd all need to go through us first. Our fleet, our air defenses, do you really think our patrols stop right along the 49th parallel*?

*over the ocean, I don't mean we sent humvees into Manitoba.
