With comparable land area and population densities, this is truly a fair comparison with the UK.

This thread is what happens when a troll takes a break from dry ****ing his favorite video card brand.

Definitely keep your foot on the brake when your sliding already....[rolleyes]

That last guy who pings of the lamp post absolutely floors it at the end, you see the huge cloud of smoke.

EDIT: This ones great: Pile up

I was totally impressed with how that Fusion made it through! That is what made me laugh, and it seems like that dude knows how to drive proper in the snow/ice!

Though that part must be super icy. See that F-250/350 just bounce off that pole then keep sliding down!

The dude in the 4Runner was lucky and a good driver as well.

Knowing how to drive in those type of conditions could prevent stuff like this easily.
The first peeps at the bottom of this hill should have moved their sh/t off the road. Bump something, just keep going to a safe/clear area. Don't stay at the bottom from where you just slide from. Get out the way, then watch everyone else go through it. :-)

Enough with the UK vs. US..

The worst thing about that is they obviously knew it was icy but yet they don't tell the drivers just wait for the carnage. What if the people that bailed out got run over I bet they would have laughed and put it on youtube.

Sometimes I'm glad it doesn't snow\ice here.

The drivers should have been expecting it to be icy in those conditions - if it looks wet, it's ice.
As soon as they see a driver having problems, they should have stopped and reconsidered what they were doing.
If you noticed, there were a few vehicles where the drivers didn't lock the wheels, ABS or good skills, and they still maintained steering control and drove around the other vehicles.
The problem with many 4WD drivers is they think 4WD solves everything, whereas it often allows you to get into more serious trouble when traction is finally lost.

I think the idiot drivers bailing may be down to two things, a fear the car will explode in flames at the slightest collision (as in American movies) or they can say of the collision "It's not my fault, I wasn't driving when it happened"

I learned to treat ice with a great deal of respect, after having some painful cycling crashes as a kid - splat!

Washington? Why would anyone in Washington have a clue how to drive in snow?

lol, and if a freak snowstorm dumped 5 inches of snow on AUS the entire country would probably sink into the water from all the hell that would break loose [rofl]

Hey, it does snow annually in some parts of Australia* and rarely in many other parts.
Heck, some of the hailstorms you guys getr would be at least as bad a a good fall of snow.
Any id4ea if you'll be having problems with sand/dust storms this year? They give us some great sunsets [thumbup]

* had one flatmate who flatly refused to accept Australia could possibly have snow - even when we showed him the ski resorts on the 'net..

Fav. part was the diesel truck at the end trying to gun it back up the hill right before he hit something... good effort, but ice will win every time lol

EDIT: Just kidding, re-watched it, he smashed a power pole avoiding the little ford then tried to save it

Do you have any idea how long it took me to clean my car after that dust storm? The dust somehow got into the air vents and into the car. After cleaning the car as soon I go to take off and turn on the air more would come out.

Not to mention my PC was covered in dust.

EDIT: I will admit it was kinda cool though. You could look directly into the sun and it looked like a bright floating blue ball. Didn't even hurt your eyes to look into it.
