Default When was the last time/have you ever used a launderette?
I've never had need of one; we've always had our own washing machine. And despite what it says in the article I wash my duvet just fine; you just have to wait for a hot day to do it.

When I lived in London there was a laundrette litterally just round the corner from our house. I never used it though. It had turned into a fish and chip shop before we moved.

I used it twice when i traveled in Europe some years back. Much cheaper then having it washed at a hotel. Plus you can sit there and drink few beers. Took me a while to figure out how to work it because everything was written in German, as i was in Germany at the time.

Never had to use one actually. Always done it at the house or had it dry cleaned for blankets, etc.

I've driven by a laundromats a couple of times. Also easier to buy a new comforter then to wash an old one.
I'm assuming that both comforter and laundromat are manlier american forms of duvets and launderettes.

We have laundry machines in my complex but there is a laundromat less than a block down the street so I just throw a couple loads in down there, walk back to my place when I wait. Also, the machines in my complex are pretty crappy.

Used to use one for about 6 months when living in a group house. We had a laundry, but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle, so when I did my weekly shopping, I would also do my weekly wash!

It was actually really great, I would park next to the laundry mat when going to the supermarket anyway. Put my clothes in the wash, get/eat dinner at a restaurant, then put my clothes in the dryer and go do my grocery shopping, came back to the car and go home!

Yesterday. Every (other) week I bring a couple of bags of clothing to a Turkish family. They wash, dry and fold it for me. I usually pick it up the next day.

1997-2000, when I was a student at university. No washing machine in our student house, and no place to put one.

Horrrible memories of feeding endless 20p's into the fecking dryers trying to get stuff dry [no]

While visiting USA in the year 2005: Colorado, Utah, Arizona. The launderettes seemed to be almost everywhere and very convenient plus affordable they were too. [yes]

I did at University, but never again. Even if I was short of space, i'd get a washer/dryer combo thing.
