Why the **** do you care so much about strength training?

All a marine needs to know how to do is fire a gun and give a reacharound.
Average weight of equipment...

Now go running with that.

knowing people that were addicted to weight training like that, first hand , were people that used some sort of (legal or illegal) chemical enhancers and they described every workout as a "rush" or a "stress reliever" but i saw it as an escape mechanism similar to alcohol or other drugs.

Those people were also extremely depressed and by now, years later, are total burnouts with their minds unable to cope with even the simplest of situations without a surge of irrational emotion.

How ironic.

Well, heroine junkies do cost the public more, but that's not what I was talking about.

Eat quickly before you have the time to feel full, and eat tasty and varied, that's about the only advice that works.

candy? should atleast give you the calories you need.
If it wasn't clear... I don't eat sugars unless they come from fruit or dairy. As low carb as possible.

Why bother with all this training and diet? As soon as you actually become a marine you eat the same **** as everyone else, no?
So more reason to become an ideal physical specimen now before the chow hall food and MRE's take their toll

Besides, at some point this will make me more attractive to the wymin... I just don't know when

The answer's still cannabis. Used as an appetite stimulant in chemo patients.

My understanding is that every time they figure out a way to make all the equipment lighter, the guys in charge see it as a chance to add even more gear.

N35t0r: No pasta. No carbs. Fiber yes.

DanS: Yeah I've been eating nuts and cheese. I'm actually getting a little concerned that I'm taking in a bit too much Saturated Fat. I know it's not really as bad as people act like it is, especially if you exercise, but between 3/4-1 gallon of milk a day, a lot of meat, nuts, cheese, and olive oil, I'm taking in a lot of Saturated Fats. Which I think is also why I'm having appetite issues because saturated fats are so satiating.

Buggs: Marijuana use is an adamant no go. You do realize the military tests for that ****?

Cannabis.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Seconds on that!

I'm not addicted to weight training. It's preparation for my job.

U.S. Marine Cpl. Brian Knight, of Cincinnati, Ohio, with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, 1st Battalion 5th Marines, pauses briefly in the heat to rest with his heavy pack filled with mortar equipment, ammunition, food, and water in the Nawa district in Afghanistan’s Helmand province
I must have missed that Star Wars prequel, but he definitely looks like he should have gills. Why is his helmet just hanging round his neck? I don't know, mermen just aren't cut out to be marines, despite the name.

So you stop taking it a month beforehand. Unless they do spectrographic analysis of your hair (and they won't) it'll never be detected.
They shave it instead.
