Any good Photoshop tutorials for what I want to do?

OK.

First off, I have NEVER used photoshop at all. What I want to do is scan a really nice pencil drawing that I did and add color to it. Paint it up real nice like.

So, any suggetions on where to go to learn how to do this? I only ask because there are like a million links and Im not sure what I should be looking for.

Should be relatively simple to get going. All you're going to be doing is loading in your scanned pencil drawing then changing brush shapes, brush sizes and brush colour to fill it in. All these things are very easy to sus as soon as you open Photoshop.

Once you've got your basic colour fills you can start to add subtleties, if you need a hand with that come back and I can give you a few tips if you need them. The painting tools in PS are really easy to get to grips with as they are quite simple, as soon as you select the brush tool the top of the screen becomes all your controls.

I'd suggest using photoshop elements rather than photoshop. It has all sorts of tools built-in for doing stuff like this.

this tutorial seems ok, i usually do a full copy and paste to new layer of the drawing, then set that new layer to multiply, but they both have a similar effect i guess

I can give you a good tip: save often and don't be afraid of the undo.

start with some real basics like using layers in photoshop > http://www.bairarteditions.com/pages...op/layers.html

that might not be the best tutorial, but you want to start using layers before anything else really - so you can keep a layer with your original image in, and draw colours on new layers "above" it. you can then easily undo anything without damaging your original.
